Care homes embrace electric vehicles

Pinnacle Care Ltd provides specialist dementia residential care and day care across a number of sites in Rugby borough. Pinnacle Care need to transport staff and visitors to and from their semi-rural site at Wolston Grange where there is no local public transport.

They have been using a diesel powered vehicle for these journeys which was due for replacement.  The WREV feasibility identified that the business could make a monthly financial saving if they used an electric vehicle compared to their existing vehicle.  It was also shown that cost saving would rise to around £100 per month when compared to a new replacement diesel vehicle.
